私も庭の花を切って飾ることはあまりしません。土からの栄養と太陽の光を浴びている時の花はあんなに生き生きと嬉しそうにありのままで美しく誇らしげに咲いているのに、花瓶に入ったとたん人のために咲いているように見えてしまいます。しかしそれはそれで美しさを以って私たちを慰め癒してくれてありがとう･･･という気持ちにはなりますが。。。
土に咲く花を見ると「ああ、かなわないな･･･」といつも思います。その美しさは、野のゆりを「栄華を極めたソロモンでさえそれほどにも着飾ってはいなかった」と聖書にも表現されているように自らはなにもせず与えられたままの姿です。風に吹かれ雨に打たれてうなだれてしまっても、次の日にはまた頭を持ち上げて太陽に向かっている花を見ると、そのしなやかな強さに憧れます。
そして時がくると枯れ、種をもって次へと繋いでいく。自らは土となり栄養となる。
（私は次の花を咲かせるよい土となれるのか･･･。）
「花咲き　みのる　毎年の約束の不思議さよ」
土の歌の一節を思い出します。
