この赤みを帯びたあじさいは、昨年、鉢植えから地植えにしたもの。小庭で咲く初めての花。アルカリ性が強い土壌ならば赤系になるということだけど、この色は買ったときより遥かに濃いめ。咲き初めだからなのか。隣に植えた青系は買った時よりもやや紫がかっているところをみれば、やはり、小庭はややアルカリ性に寄っているということなのか。土地によって色が変わる、景色が変わる、雰囲気が変わる。海外在住の日本人リポーターが現地色に染まるような面持ち。土と水の影響なのかな。
花言葉は「移り気」。
