新しい環境に身を置くようになってようやく1ヶ月。慣れたような、そうでもないような。一定時間の中で人間観察をしているかのようでもあり、そこだけに着目していると、本当に様々なタイプのひとがいるということをあらためて思う。
何かひとつを始めたことで、今までの日常が少しばかり変わって思えるようになった。毎日のように見るともなしに見ていた小庭ではあったけれど、新しい環境に意識を向けていたらしい証に、小庭では今季初の菊が開花しているのにようやく気付いた。この花が咲いて秋本番を感じ、自然の中に身を置くことの安堵感を十二分に味わえることの、なんと幸せなことか。そして今季もまた、日ごとに咲いていく花々に出逢える喜びはこの上ない幸福。
